What is AI Wallace?
Wallace is a Smart AI Scheduling Engine which works on top of Preactor to provide a powerful flexible solution to complex scheduling problems, adapting to changing requirements.

Until now, when the standard Preactor sequencing rules were not sufficient to handle your scheduling capabilities the only option has involved hiring a Preactor developer to build a custom scheduling rule. This process is slow, expensive and requires the developer to have a good understanding of how to convert knowledge often held by a select few employees into scheduling rules.

Preactor must rely on a significant amount of human input to produce a reasonable schedule. AI Wallace’s Smart Evolutionary Algorithms produce complex optimised schedules with no human input.
Unlike traditional “hard coded” scheduling rules, AI Wallace is fully flexible. If you decide what makes a “good” schedule for you has changed, Wallace can be notified about these changes and will adapt accordingly.
AI Wallace builds an initial schedule then looks at the schedule as a whole before making 1000s of changes, continuously improving and optimising as it goes. This allows Wallace to tackle questions which require a finished schedule to answer such as “Can we reduce the time it takes from when an order starts until it ends?”.
Without the need for human input, AI Wallace can react to machine breakages and other unplanned alterations within minutes.
As AI Wallace produces complete optimised schedules without human impact, once machine exceptions have been logged in Preactor AI Wallace can produce an adapted schedule in minutes. As AI Wallace rarely takes holidays and works 24/7 it is always available.

Once installed, AI Wallace will pull all the data it requires from your Preactor system. Once AI Wallace has generated a schedule this is passed back into Preactor. This means there is no change in how you pull data into Preactor, or how you view/report on schedules.
